Inviting Guest Speakers

Requesting permission and funding for bringing a guest speaker to campus:

If the visiting speaker will only interact with students and faculty within our department, you just
need to get permission from the dept chair and dean. If the visiting scholar will be giving talks to
people at the college level and beyond, permission is required from the AVP office; that
permission request can go through the dept chair and college dean. This page on the college’s
website allows you to initiate a request to bring a speaker to campus.
